Strongsville Mayor Tom Perciak is endorsing Matt Dolan in the race for State Senate District 24.
Perciak, one of the most powerful Republicans in Cuyahoga County, believes his city will be well served by electing Dolan to fill the open seat.
“The people of Strongsville deserve a voice of proven leadership representing their needs in Columbus,” Perciak said. “I am confident that Matt is the right person for the job.”
Dolan said he is honored to have Perciak’s support and appreciates the significance of the endorsement.
Dolan, a former state representative and candidate for Cuyahoga County Executive, is running to replace Tom Patton, who is term-limited in the Senate.
Perciak is the latest in a long list of elected officials who have formally endorsed Dolan, including Brecksville Mayor Jerry Hruby, Highland Heights Mayor Scott Coleman and Highland Heights Mayor Pat Ward.
Secretary of State Jon Husted, Congressman David Joyce and Cuyahoga County Councilman, Jack Schron have also publicly endorsed Dolan.
Senate District 24 covers the western, eastern and southern portions of Cuyahoga County, and includes the cities of Solon, Westlake, Strongsville, Brecksville, North Royalton and Lyndhurst, among others.
