COLUMBUS, June 13, 2016 – The National Federation of Independent Business/Ohio (NFIB/Ohio), the state’s leading small business association representing 25,000 entrepreneurs, is proud to announce its endorsement of Matt Dolan who is seeking election to Ohio’s 24th Senate District seat. The district is home to 361 dues paying members of NFIB/Ohio. This endorsement today comes from the NFIB/Ohio SAFE Trust, the organization’s political action committee.

Dolan has a platform of being a strong voice for fiscal responsibility, smaller government, and lower taxes. During his time in the Ohio House of Representatives he was a dedicated advocate on areas of concern to Ohio entrepreneurs, earning an 85% voting record with NFIB. The issues he champions are the same that the members of NFIB/Ohio have identified through surveying done by the organization of small-business owners throughout the state.

“Matt Dolan has been approved through NFIB/Ohio’s member-driven process that thoroughly reviews candidates’ records, stated positions and understanding of small-business issues before an endorsement is issued,” said Roger R. Geiger, vice president and executive director of NFIB/Ohio. “During his time in the Ohio Legislature he demonstrated a true understanding of what is important to Ohio’s small business community. Dolan will be an excellent addition to the Ohio Senate.”

“The backbone of a strong economy is healthy and growing small businesses. I look forward to working with the NFIB to foster an environment for that growth and success. I am honored to receive the NFIB endorsement,” said Dolan.
